Certified in General Surgery, Dr. Kopelan completed his
surgical residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals
and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert
Wood Johnson University Hospital. He is a graduate of Gettysburg
College and received his medical education at New York
University School of Medicine.
Dr.
Kopelan has been acknowledged with numerous accolades,
including graduating Magna Cum Laude and receiving honors
in the Department of Biology from Gettysburg College, being
recognized with the University of Chicago’s Robert
Baker Golden Apple Teaching Award and the Golden Apple
Teaching Award from Monmouth Medical Center. He has co-authored
a variety of articles that have appeared in medical books
and journals such as Transplantation; Kidney Transplantation:
Principles and Practice; Transplantation Proceedings and
the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia.
Dr.
Kopelan resides in South Orange, New Jersey with his wife
and two children and is in private practice at Millburn
Surgical Associates.
