 The da Vinci® prostatectomy, or removal of
the prostate, offers less post-operative pain and a shorter
recovery period. The robot allows meticulous dissection of
the prostate and precise suturing, leading to less scarring
and blood loss. Some studies suggest that the procedure may
offer improved cancer control and a reduced incidence of
complications such as impotence and urinary incontinence.
